1. Decline

Advertising flyers. Most of the time we accept them, then we throw them into the trash.

Freebies, samples and offers of shampoos, creams, perfumes.

Disposable plastics such as plastic bags, bottles, cups, cutlery and straws.

2. Reduce

Turn of the tap water while shaving or brushing your teeth. We can save up to 19 liters of water per day.

Choose to take quick showers.

Replace the plastic swabs for cardboard or bamboo ones.

Replace the plastic toothbrushes with bamboo ones.

Switch shampoo bottles for solid bars.

Choose reusable or biodegradable cloth diapers.

Avoid wasting water by choosing to water the garden in the morning or evening, that way the water won’t evaporate with the heat.

Turn off all unused appliances, reducing energy consumption.

Replace the disposable sponges with cotton sponges.

Choose more vegetarian meals, reducing meat consumption. Producing 1kg of beef results in more CO2 emissions than going for a three-hour drive while leaving all the lights on at home

Choose to buy products in bulk.

Choose to drink coffee in glass cups and set aside the plastic cups.

Produce as little waste as possible.

3. Reuse

Buy or sell second hand items – clothing, accessories, among others.

Reuse plastic bags or opt for reusable cloth or fabric bags.

Choose reusable bottles instead of constantly buying water bottles. This reduces the use of plastic.

Choose to use cloth napkins instead of paper napkins.

Choose reusable Stainless-Steel straws and set aside the plastic ones.

4. Recycle

Put the batteries in the proper place or choose to bye rechargeable ones.

Recycling all glass containers reduces air pollution (by 20%) and water pollution (by 50%).

Recycle all aluminum. The recycling of 20 aluminum cans is the energy required to produce a new one.

If you still buy plastic products, they must be placed in the yellow ecopoints. However, it is best to avoid its use.
