Miriam Seoane Santos got her Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Coimbra in 2014 and currently attends the Doctoral Program in Information Science and Technology at the same university. She is a member of the Centre for Informatics and Systems of the University of Coimbra (CISUC) and IPO-Porto Research Centre (CI-IPOP). Her main research interests include imbalanced data, missing data and personalized medicine in oncology.

Main Research Interests: pattern recognition, personalised medicine, imbalanced data, missing data, data difficulty factors, machine learning, data complexity, data mining, information analysis, biomedical applications, medical informatics, clinical decision support, patient-oriented decision models, oncological diseases.
