"We dress up in the versatility of distorted
guitars, but the naked composition shows itself in
each song as the best way of spontaneous
contamination of the feeling;
Our goal is to achieve the unachievable and
multiply rythms and melodies... good melodies."

We
started out in 1998 as a project, from ground
zero, and we were at the time Rui on the guitar
and voice, Danilo on the bass, J.P. on the guitar and
Refú on the drums. We started evoluting until, in
March 2001, we had our firsr concert at C. C.
D. Dinis, in Coimbra, where we played an a
semi-acoustic show without the drummer, who had
just quit the band, but where we got a new one,
Bino. Our second concert was at The Day After,
in Viseu, and later in October, we played
at the 1st Modern Music Festival of Viseu (2nd place
in the final). The theUpperfield have suffered
another change with the replacement of J.P. on the
guitar by Bino, who left the drums for his brother,
Joca.
It was like
this for a
quite long time but now, with the sudden exit of
Bino and Joca,
theUpperfield
are looking for another guitar and drums players
but,
still, with much hope in the future. |
